For nearly four decades, I've worked in nonprofit leadership, advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. That journey has taught me many things, but most importantly, that everyone has a gift to share and a story worth celebrating. A significant part of our work is teaching people skills to help them live as independently as possible, and creating homes and spaces where people can thrive and learn is paramount to that mission. I've seen again and again how meaningful connections happen when we gather face-to-face in places that feel safe, warm, and welcoming. That's why I created Sage&Saucy: to share what I've learned about creating those moments of connection so that you can offer the same to your friends and family in your own home.
