Welcome to Sage&Saucy. Sage&Saucy offers local gathering styling services, curated hosting inspiration, and affiliate shopping resources designed to help create beautiful, meaningful moments for small gatherings, seasonal hosting, and special occasions.
These policies explain how services, payments, travel, affiliate links, product recommendations, and refunds are handled.
Local Styling Services
Sage&Saucy provides styling services for small gatherings, tablescapes, seasonal hosting moments, and thoughtfully styled experiences in and around the Topeka, Kansas area.
Services may include tablescape styling, centerpiece styling, bar or beverage station styling, dessert or serving display styling, seasonal decor styling, and custom sourcing recommendations. Sage&Saucy does not currently operate as a full-service event planner, caterer, rental company, or venue.
Each project is customized based on the type of gathering, location, timeline, desired style, and available inventory or sourced items.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate event details, including the date, time, location, guest count, table sizes, access instructions, parking information, and any known limitations at the home, office, venue, or event space.
Clients are also responsible for ensuring that Sage&Saucy has reasonable access to the styling area at the agreed-upon time. Any delays, major changes, or incomplete setup access may affect the final styling result or require additional charges.
Sage&Saucy is not responsible for venue restrictions, weather conditions, guest behavior, outside vendor issues, food safety, or damage caused after the styled area has been completed and turned over to the client.
Payments, Deposits & Final Balance
A non-refundable deposit may be required to reserve the service date. This deposit holds the date, begins planning, and may cover early preparation, sourcing, communication, and design time.
The remaining balance is due no later than 48 hours before the scheduled service date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Services are not considered confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Because each styled gathering requires planning, preparation, and reserved time, deposits are non-refundable.
If a client needs to reschedule, Sage&Saucy will make reasonable efforts to apply the deposit to a new date, based on availability. Rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible.
Cancellations made close to the event date may result in additional charges if materials have already been purchased, inventory has been prepared, or styling time has been reserved.
Mileage & Travel Charges
Sage&Saucy serves the Topeka, Kansas area and surrounding communities.
Local travel within approximately 15 miles of Topeka, Kansas may be included in the styling fee. Locations outside that service area may be subject to a mileage charge based on the current IRS standard mileage rate or another rate disclosed at the time of booking.
Any additional travel-related expenses, such as parking fees, tolls, extended travel time, or special access requirements, may also be added to the final service quote when applicable.
Product Sourcing & Purchased Items
Some styling packages may include recommendations for purchased items, such as table linens, glassware, chargers, candles, florals, serving pieces, decorative accents, or other hosting items.
Unless otherwise stated, items purchased specifically for a client project are the property of the client after payment is complete. Custom-sourced or client-approved purchased items are typically non-refundable once ordered.
Sage&Saucy may also use existing styling inventory for certain looks. Inventory items provided by Sage&Saucy remain the property of Sage&Saucy unless specifically purchased by the client.
Affiliate Links & Product Recommendations
Sage&Saucy participates in affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Associates Program and other affiliate platforms. This means Sage&Saucy may earn a small commission when visitors click certain links and make a purchase, at no additional cost to the shopper.
As an Amazon Associate, Sage&Saucy earns from qualifying purchases.
Product recommendations may appear in blog posts, look cards, curated shop pages, social media posts, emails, downloadable guides, and other website content. These recommendations are selected to support hosting, decorating, entertaining, tablescapes, and gathering inspiration.
Sage&Saucy does not control product pricing, availability, shipping, delivery timelines, seller policies, or product quality for third-party retailers. Any product concerns, returns, exchanges, or shipping issues must be handled directly with the retailer or platform where the item was purchased.
Online Shop & Curated Look Cards
The Sage&Saucy website may include curated look cards, product collections, affiliate links, and shopping inspiration for visitors who want to recreate a styled look on their own.
These curated collections are intended to provide inspiration and shopping convenience. Product availability, prices, colors, materials, and specifications may change without notice.
Sage&Saucy makes reasonable efforts to recommend items that align with the brand style and hosting purpose, but final purchasing decisions are the responsibility of the shopper.
Refund Policy
Styling Services
Deposits for styling services are non-refundable because they reserve the event date and cover planning, preparation, communication, and design time.
Final payments may also be non-refundable once styling work has begun, custom items have been sourced, or the event date is near. Refund eligibility, if any, will be reviewed based on the specific circumstances and any written agreement between Sage&Saucy and the client.
Custom-Sourced Items
Items purchased specifically for a client project are generally non-refundable once approved and ordered. This includes decor, tableware, florals, linens, candles, serving pieces, or other items selected for a specific gathering.
Digital Products
Due to the instant-access nature of digital products, downloadable files, templates, guides, checklists, and printable resources are generally non-refundable once purchased or delivered.
Affiliate Products
Sage&Saucy does not process refunds, returns, or exchanges for products purchased through affiliate links. Refunds or returns for those products must be handled directly through the retailer, such as Amazon or the applicable third-party seller.
Digital Products & Downloadable Resources
Sage&Saucy may offer digital products such as planning checklists, guides, templates, printables, recipe collections, hosting resources, or seasonal styling materials.
Digital products are for personal use only unless otherwise stated. They may not be resold, redistributed, copied, shared, or used commercially without written permission.
Because digital products are delivered electronically, all sales are generally final.
Food, Beverage & Catering Disclaimer
Sage&Saucy may provide styling ideas, serving suggestions, menu inspiration, drink station styling, or display guidance. However, Sage&Saucy does not currently operate as a licensed catering service unless specifically stated in writing.
Clients are responsible for food preparation, food safety, alcohol service, dietary needs, and any catering or beverage service provided at their event. If outside food or beverage vendors are used, the client is responsible for coordinating those services.
Weather & Outdoor Events
For outdoor gatherings, the client is responsible for having a backup plan in case of rain, wind, extreme heat, cold temperatures, or other weather-related concerns.
Sage&Saucy may recommend weather-friendly styling choices, but cannot guarantee that outdoor decor, florals, candles, linens, or table settings will remain unaffected by weather conditions.
If weather conditions make setup unsafe or impractical, the client may need to move the styled area indoors or approve an adjusted setup.
Photography & Marketing Use
Sage&Saucy may photograph styled setups for portfolio, website, social media, or marketing purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing before the event.
Client privacy is respected. Personal identifying information, guests, private addresses, or sensitive details will not be intentionally shared without permission.
